A White Wedding? Doubtful

The Hirtle's playing Wedding Paintball

We’ve all heard of shotgun weddings right, but what about paintball weddings? Well we’ve had the odd wedding request come our way, as well as some pretty cool trash the dress photo shoots, but I think this brave couple take the biscuit.

Newlyweds Heather and Tim Hirtle chose to say pah! to tradition and spent their wedding day on Nova Scotia’s Splatter Island, trying not to get shot at with paint. The fun-loving pair invited all of their wedding guests to take part too, as the groom’s new father-in-law got a sore one on the neck whilst protecting his daughter’s team!

If this all doesn’t sound like a bizarre movie enough already, then the apparently entirely choreographed and scripted paintball game was played Spaghetti-Western style, with two fiercely competitive teams: The Inlaws and The Outlaws.

We’ve heard of some seriously creative paintball brides before, hosted some superb paintballing birthday parties and spotted some cracking videos on YouTube, but I think involving the whole congregation is a mark of genius!

That looks like a ton of fun!  … although we could be biased seeing as it was our wedding.
