Paintball for schools

One of the most common paintball FAQs we hear is ‘is paintball suitable for all ages?’. Well, the simple answer is: almost. We don’t recommend youngsters play it as there are many inherent risks involved which players need to fully comprehend before being able to play so, like many venues, we only allow players over the age of 12 years old.

However, in the opposite direction, there is no upper age limit which paintball can’t be played at! Obviously the activity’s most strongly associated with enthusiastic, thrill-seeking adults and young adults, but the rate at which paintball is growing it’s (the fastest growing sport in Europe) means that the game is gaining a wider following everyday.

Here at Bedlam, like many paintball venues, we’ve developed paintball games which are ideal for younger players under a ‘Junior Bedlam’ package, and these are great introductions to the game, and also a pretty unique day out too. Also, I’ve mentioned before how school children can learn through paintball too, as there are many skills required to play it well which, combined with a seriously low injury rate, makes paintball the perfect day out for young adults.

However, a day out playing paintball is just as suitable for the annual office outing or team building day, or the stag and hen dos with a difference. In fact, we see dedicated groups of older players coming through our gates who have played paintball regularly for twenty years! Sure it’s fun, but don’t forget that paintball is also exercise, so in that respect it can be enjoyed by anyone. Doesn’t matter who you are, where you’re from, how fit you are or what you do for a living, paintball is a game for everyone.
