Taking aim at Breast Cancer

Breast Cancer Awareness Month

When I’m scouring the internet and industry magazines for interesting stuff about paintball, it’s rare that I come across anything for a good cause. Usually it’s all about fun, gear, videos and anything else which gets the paintball crowd buzzing, but I came across this story about a new initiative to highlight National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and I thought it was definitely worth blogging about.

At this year’s World Cup Paintball Championships (near Orlando, Florida), guests are being encouraged to get creative in the fight against breast cancer by painting a completely one-off piece of ‘paintball art’ – in pink of course! With a $10 donation, fans can join the crowds to splatter the canvas on the day, with the finished piece also going off for auction in November too.

Obviously I doubt it’ll be anything quite up to this standard in terms of art, but as far as fundraising initiatives go, this one’s definitely on target!
