New to paintball?

No one forgets their first time.

The apprehension of the task ahead, the uncertainty of what to expect once the action kicks off, the doubt over your performance and, of course, the big question: what safety precautions will be used? Even paintballs pros start somewhere though, so if you’re new to paintball and worried about giving it a go for the first time, let us put your mind at rest.

First of all, don’t tell anyone it’s your first time – they’ll only make you more of a target. Instead swagger in with all the cock-sure attitude of Clint Eastwood-meets-Jason Statham, and then simply follow these 3 golden rules….simples.

1. Always listen to your marshal. Whether they’re imparting vital mission objectives, debriefing you on essential safety matters or just cracking a joke, always pay attention. Paintball marshals like to share their knowledge and experience, so grab it while it’s available.

2. Don’t break any rules. Doing so will undoubtedly make you look like the new boy.

3. Think before you fire. The temptation’s to run screaming through the woods, spraying everything in sight with paint right? Well look around you. Are the more experienced players doing this? No? Well maybe you shouldn’t then either. Use your head and think ‘strategy’.
